Joint editor.

Joseph is home. Most of the time he is sleeping. When he is awake he is either drinking, pooing or crying. Actually he doesn't cry very much at all. Which is good because he would disturb the racket I make.

It also means he can't assume joint editing rights. I think I will be updating my . . . er . . . I mean our blog when he is asleep. After all I have more experience at this than he does. It just makes sense for me to maintain overall creative control.

I even look the part.

He's still asleep see!

Ooops . . . spoke too soon!

What's that Joseph? You say you have some good ideas about how we could update my . . . er . . . I mean our blog? I'm a little busy at the moment. I'll get back to you after I've had some fresh air out on my new bike.

In fact I think I need to go a little further!

What's that Mummy? It sounded like "come back here"? But I'm so far ahead I can't hear you properly. Catch me if you can!!

Faster. Faster !

Joseph came home on Saturday. Daddy and I went to the hospital to collect him with mummy. It was really hot outside. There is one thing missing in our house now . . . . .

Joseph

Here's how it went down. At 11pm Mummy told Daddy her waters were breaking. Nana came over to look after me whilst Daddy took Mummy to the hospital.

Mummy's waters had indeed broken but her cervix was fixed so at 2.30am Daddy was sent home and told to come back in the morning because it would be a while!

I did my best to keep Daddy awake from 3 til half five when the midwife called to say Mummy was in the advanced stages of giving birth. Despite managing to reach speeds of 90mph (that's not an admission plod! This information is third hand and I am under the age of criminal liability. I am unable to form the necessary mens rea) Daddy missed the arrival of Joseph by a minute or two!

According to the midwives Mummy did a fantastic job - no time for pain relief or antibiotics - and Having waited the full 40 weeks Joseph did not want to wait a second longer.

And so without further delay, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce to you my sibling and brother Joseph Brian Dutton Bn 05:50 hours 20th May 2010 weighing 7lb and 15 1/4 oz.

D (delivery) Day?

Yesterday we went to the safari park. It was a really nice day until the baboons took a dislike to daddy's car and pulled bits off! Someone should send them to time out!

Then we went the rides. I liked the roller coaster and train best.

We have season tickets now so we can go as often as we like. I think daddy might avoid the baboons next time - what's that daddy? Unless we're in someone else's car! Ok! Any volunteers?

19/05/10 - Joseph is due tomorrow. I hope he knows? Who's told him ? Has he set his alarm and checked his calendar? Daddy and I are Virgos and we like to be on time. At the moment Mummy is wondering whether Joseph is going to be a Taurus or Gemini and what that will mean to his temperament. Daddy thinks its a lot of old tosh. I'm too young to have an opinion - it's not that I'm not allowed - I just don't have the wisdom to have made a decision.

Mummy is still mucking out. Today Daddy helped and I slept in the car with Auntie Jo Jo looking after me.

Then we all went to the park and I saw another baboon. Oh sorry daddy it's you.

Pants, Slides and BBQs

Having fought potty training I have finally given in and after only nine days after my first poo in the toilet today I wore pants all day and told everyone when I needed a wee. A dry day!!

I am also embracing my future big brother role and practicing sliding on big boy slides at every opportunity. At the moment my favourite method is the face down feet first slide.

It was BBQ weather (just about) so we went to Nana's for sausages and burgers. Mummy and Daddy thought I was turning into a veggie as I've been turning down most of the meat in my meals at home.

But still no sign of Joseph!!

Election results are in . . . .

. . . . and the result is . . . .

. . . oh, who cares? It doesn't matter who you vote for the government always get in.
I've been trying to explain to daddy all day that Gordon is blue not brown. I don't think he gets it because he keeps keeps going on about Gordon Brown.

Mummy is about 38 weeks and still going down the farm every day. I went to help but why does she always lock the "polar bear" (polo) mints away.
I wonder if she'll need a wheel barrow to muck out Joseph?

The most important news is that toilet training is going exceptionally well. So far this week I have only pooed in my nappy once. All the others have been flushed down the toilet. And I'm also doing most of my wees there too.
If only there was a quick fix for the dummy!!!!
